Through yield reduction, manual harvesting and whole grape pressing, the characteristics of the Heerkretz were already concentrated in the must and then spontaneously fermented in barriques (third occupancy). The gentle woody note underpins the strong fruit as well as the finely integrated acidity, but without putting itself in the foreground. There is clearly the high extract and enormous juiciness of this Riesling, as well as finely nuanced aromas from spontaneous fermentation, which alternately play the ball and thus carry the tension long until the finish. The dense nose reveals ripe yellow fruit, raisins, apricot and some spicy notes such as honeycomb and some petrol. Full-bodied on the palate, with sweet and ripe fruit, but also exciting spiciness.
