Since I was very young, I have always loved creating with my hands, a passion passed down by my mom. I explored many creative hobby techniques, but it was working with paper that left the biggest impression on me. At one time, I glued tissue paper and decoupage on everything: furniture, paintings, mirrors... Over time, family life took over. I put this passion aside, without ever forgetting it. Then one day, I wanted to get back into it, differently. By trying out paper jewelry making, I had a real breakthrough. By chance, during a search, I discovered Indian and Nepalese paper. Their textures and colorful patterns amazed me. The inspiration was immediate: I decided to work only with these artisanal papers, which are ethical, poetic, and rich in symbols. In 2019, I created my micro-enterprise while continuing my job as a childminder. My evenings are dedicated to my little workshop, a true moment for myself. Then, with the birth of my daughter Agnès, I made a big decision: to fully embark on the Mahanes adventure. Today, I design handcrafted jewelry made from Indian & Nepalese paper, carefully handmade with care, patience, and passion.
