To buy on Faire, you must operate a business purchasing products either for resale or for business use.
Retailer businesses typically operate one of the following store types:
- A brick & mortar store
- An online store
- A pop-up store
All business types that buy on Faire must meet our Terms of Service.
What qualifies as a brick & mortar store?
To meet our qualifications as a brick & mortar retailer, you must be able to provide proof that you operate a physical storefront. If your store isn’t open yet, we may request documentation to help us validate your business type.
You can still attend pop-up events and markets, or sell on your online store if you have a brick & mortar store.
What qualifies as an online-only store?
To meet our qualifications as an online-only retailer, you must be able to provide proof that you operate a website. We may request documentation to help us validate your store type.
You may operate an online boutique website, or sell exclusively on social media platforms. Products must be shipped to your business address, as we do not support shipping to fulfillment centers. At this time, social selling is limited to Facebook, Instagram, and CommentSold.
All social selling must be done in public social media channels. Private Facebook groups or other private selling methods are not accepted. You must have an active, public, social media business account with posts, prices, and engagement from followers.

What qualifies as a Pop-up store?
To meet our qualifications as a pop up retailer, you must be able to provide details of your pop-up shop. This may include proof of upcoming events in the form of contracts, invitations, or receipts. We may also request a copy of your lease or vendor agreement if you operate from a consistent location.
Can I resell Faire products on third party marketplaces?
We are unable to fulfill orders if you are selling on Amazon, eBay, Etsy, private Facebook groups, Poshmark, Cratejoy, WhatNot, Tiktok, or other marketplaces.
Are there restrictions for online-only retailers?
Yes, online-only retailers have a couple of restrictions:
- Some brands only sell to brick & mortar retailers. For more information, visit Why can’t I place an order?
- If your online store hasn’t launched yet, your order may be canceled and you won’t be charged. You’ll be able to order again once your online store is live.
Please note, if your store is not yet live, we can consider reviewing detailed screenshots of its development (ie. checkout page, cart, domain landing page, etc.) in order to approve your account.
Can I use Faire if I’m part of a multi-level marketing company?
No, Faire does not allow retailers who are affiliated with multi-level marketing (MLM) companies.
Can I order on Faire if I’m a distributor?
Distributors aren’t eligible to buy on Faire. Faire is a wholesale marketplace designed for independent retail businesses and approved business buyers. Retailer businesses include brick & mortar shops, online stores, and consistent pop-ups that purchase products to resell directly to consumers. Businesses purchasing for their own use are also supported, but distributors purchasing on behalf of other businesses are not permitted.

What’s the difference between a pop-up shop and a brick & mortar store?
- Brick & mortar stores sell in person from a publicly accessible business space that they directly rent or own. These are typically standalone locations.
- Pop-up shops sell in person, but from a temporary retail space that closes after a duration, and that may be located within another business space (such as farmer’s markets or holiday events).
