Organic Bulk Ground Sumac

Its flavor and color will last longer, and you can grind it on demand with a pestle or a grinder. It is a raw spice, only ground, from a shrub that produces red plumes containing small seeds. These seeds are ground to create this naturally salty, lemony, and vinegary spice. Depending on the palate, some will recognize more of the lemony taste, while others will notice the vinegary taste. It also has an astringent side. Be careful, there are toxic trees of the same family in France and Europe: "poison sumac." Certified organic by Ecocert FR-BIO-01.
