O.E.L. is a Berlin-based company with roots in Greece. At the center of our work is the olive – its origin, processing, and cultural value. We produce pure, extra virgin Koroneiki olive oil and selected organic olive-based products. The Koroneiki olives for our O.E.L. Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil come from Andania, near Kalamata. They grow on our own land as well as on the fields of our partner Ilias, who also operates the oil mill. The olives are hand-picked without harming the soil or wildlife and processed under our supervision within a few hours of harvest. The oil extraction is done exclusively using centrifuge and cold extraction – the most gentle method currently available. The oil is then filled into UV-protected, temperature-insulating canisters to preserve flavor, freshness, and nutrients. The small, green Koroneiki olive is considered one of the highest quality olive varieties in the world due to its high polyphenol content. In addition to our own organic olive oil, we also distribute extra virgin olive oil from neighboring farmers in Andania under the name A!.
