Like Camphor Rosemary, Cineole Rosemary is one of the "herbes de Provence," originating from the Mediterranean scrublands and maquis. Listed among Vespasian's aromatics, it is well known for its delicious flavor in culinary dishes. Highly symbolic in Italy, Rosemary was cultivated three millennia ago between the Tigris and Euphrates for its multiple virtues. Cultivated in France, it is also found around the Mediterranean basin where it grows easily (Morocco, Italy, Spain). Its flowers, a blue tinged with violet, bloom from January to May. Rosemary has several chemotypes depending on the place of cultivation. Cineole Rosemary contains half as much camphor as Camphor Rosemary. These different chemotypes give it various properties not to be confused.
