Stephanie Fornash Kennedy launched the FORNASH brand after vacationing in the Caribbean. The bright colors and richness of the tropics fueled her passion for design and style. Upon her arrival back to Washington D.C., she began designing custom handbags. In November 2002, six months after Stephanie sold her first custom handbag, she opened the FORNASH boutique in Georgetown. In August 2003, she introduced FORNASH for the first time to retail buyers at Accessories the Show in New York City. Today, retailers can shop her collection at several tradeshows around the country. As the wholesale business continued to grow, Stephanie broadened the FORNASH line with scarves and clothing, but jewelry was the runaway success. A pivotal moment for the FORNASH brand occurred in December 2009, when the FORNASH Boa Scarf was featured in Oprah’s magazine on her coveted “O List”.
