Wholesale Small Art Deco serving tray in aluminium, mirror and turned black wood

In 1930s interiors, the serving tray was as much a display object as a daily accessory. This one elegantly combines three materials favored by Art Deco: polished aluminum with triple mouldings, an inset mirror, and two cylindrical turned-wood handles stained black, set with metal rings at the ends. The restrained geometry of the whole, without superfluous ornament, is the hallmark of an era when form was enough. The back is protected by a natural cork backing mounted on four brass feet, which ensures stable, scratch-free placement. Dimensions approximately 22 cm wide by 17 cm deep. The mirror shows slight loss of silvering in one corner and a few wear scratches. The wooden handles bear the marks of time, discreet and consistent with the age of the piece. The aluminum structure is in good condition; the whole is stable. On a dressing table, console or coffee table, it holds perfumes, candles or jewelry with an immediate presence.
