The company was founded by João Vieira de Campos in 1963. It has its first headquarters on Rua das Musas, in Porto. During the first days of activity, it produces decorative pieces exclusively in tin. At the beginning of the 70s, the company began working with aluminum alloy and launched the FOGO Line, a brand registered in 1973. João Vieira de Campos, Lda. begins to dedicate itself almost exclusively to export. Large markets such as the United States represent a significant part of our company's activity. The Metropolitan Museum in New York chose us to reproduce some pieces from its collection that are sold in the museum stores and integrated into communication and public relations actions to promote exhibitions and other events. Department stores such as Bloomingdale's and Sacks are also part of the list of American customers. By maintaining permanent contact with our agent in the United States, they guarantee access to the collections of tin pieces that we release annually. In Europe, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Finland, France, Holland, England, Luxembourg and Norway represent the company's main export destinations. Our products were introduced in these countries by our frequent presence at the Paris, Frankfurt and Madrid fairs. Today, DeCampos pieces are present in several stores in the country and we have seen some of our pieces chosen by many luxury hotels, not only in Portugal, but also in Spain and the United Kingdom.Read their story
