About Caffé Cognetti

Caffe Cognetti was founded in Bari in 1997, in the heart of the city in front of the Petruzzelli theater. In 2017, we were transformed into a micro roaster, the first in the city of Bari. We started roasting the coffee that I personally selected during trips to the plantation and we roasted them in a small 300 g roaster. Then in 2021 we opened a new production site where we were able to increase our production capacity and refine the quality control of green coffee. My name is Davide Roveto and I am the owner of Caffe Cognetti micro roasting together with my family. I am a taster and a teacher in the world of coffee and I am responsible for the selection, purchase and roasting of our coffees. Only coffees that pass a very strict selection can enter Caffe Cognetti. We control freshness and density and work with the growers in order to create direct relationships. Immediately after the roasting process, each coffee is tasted in order to be sure that they have reached the gustatory balance that we want to bring into the cups of our customers.
