Yok Chan's unique and now double award-winning chilli oil. Made with Chinese, Malaysian and Sri Lankan influences, Yok Chan's Chilli Oil is the perfect accompaniment to any meal. Try not to use it on everything. Our Story In 1996, Yok Chan decided to create her own chilli oil to save money, as her husband would finish jars from the shop every 3-4 days. Over time she tailored the recipe, using influences from Chinese, Malaysian and Sri Lankan cuisines. Once it ventured out of the household in the mid 2010’s, people were blown away after trying it, almost in disbelief at how good it is. The chilli oil soon started seizing the limelight and taking centre stage in most conversations. After a lot of enthusiasm and help from our talented friends and family, we turned Yok Chan's humble chilli oil into a brand. Yok Chan’s Chilli Oil’s unique flavour plus its ability to compliment but never overshadow any dish it is added to, is what makes it stand out and why it gained its word-of-mouth notoriety since it left family household 12 years ago.
