Dam Good® English Muffins is a mother-daughter, women-owned, family-operated brand based in Peekskill, NY, that was influenced by a serendipitous encounter with a discarded English muffin container that we found on the ground while on a walk one day -- this mundane and overlooked container symbolized the stagnant English muffin category. An unspoken plea for reinvention! So as we embarked on our journey, inspired by a homemade sourdough English muffin from a friend, the mission was clear -- reinvent the ordinary! Our sourdough English muffins are handmade in small batches with simple ingredients you can find in your own home kitchen! Cold fermented for 36 hours (good things take time!), made exclusively with King Arthur Flour and free from: ultra-processed ingredients, preservatives, enzymes, dough conditioners, dairy, seed oils, and nuts so you can feed Dam Good® about eating them! Once toasted, they’re crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside and full of that amazing unique texture of peaks and valleys that makes an English muffin so iconic. They’re hearty and versatile making them the perfect vehicle for any meal of the day! And, they’re Dam Good® indeed!!! Our brand name refers to our proximity to the New Croton Dam in Cortlandt, NY, nearby where we got our start, our goal to do Dam Good® and that we make Dam Good® English Muffins!
