About Bodynova
Bodynova was created out of love for yoga and holistic bodywork. It all began in India in the 80s, where Bodynova founder Holger lived for several years and practiced Ayurveda massages and bodywork. Since there were no decent massage tables to buy in Germany at that time, Holger began importing massage tables from the USA. Bodynova was born. In India, Holger also attended his very first yoga class in 1989 — an Iyengar yoga class on the roof of a German bakery. This was at a time when yoga was barely known in Germany, and therefore good yoga equipment was hard to find here. So Holger took the whole thing into his own hands and brought yoga straps and blankets from India to Germany in a suitcase. This is how the passion for yoga gave rise to a yoga business out of passion.
