About Joy Supply

Hi, I'm Lindsay. I've spent over a decade in food, working as a pastry cook, magazine food editor, and product developer. I know how recipes come together and have seen dozens of products make their way into homes and onto shelves. Along the way, I noticed a growing gap between how delicious, nourishing, and simple food COULD be and what we’re often offered. Then I became a mom, got to know the snack aisle better, and that disconnect became impossible to ignore. At the grocery store, we’re asked to choose: better-for-you or better-tasting. Cookies that promise one usually sacrifice the other. I kept wondering: why does it have to be that way? That question led me back to my family’s 1908 bakery. Digging through the archives, we uncovered my great-grandfather Oscar’s crisp oat cookie recipe from his small-town Monmouth, Illinois bakery. That humble, old-fashioned cookie became our starting point and our quality standard. After hundreds of test batches and a search for exceptional ingredients, we partnered with family farms in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa. They're farmers committed to caring for the land, reducing herbicides, supporting biodiversity, and leaving things better for the next generation. Joy Supply cookies were born in a Brooklyn kitchen with a Midwestern heart: a little old-school, a little modern, and baked simply so the ingredients can do the talking. We call it farm-born, city-baked.
