About Caru

It all started with Karu! No, that's not a misspelling - our Golden Retriever spelled his name with a K! We're Pamela and Adrian Pettyan, medical professionals who ran a healthcare center for families in our local community. Practically from puppyhood, Karu had constant ear infections. To address this problem, our veterinarian suggested a homemade diet consisting of pure, healthy, nutritious food. From the day we switched Karu to this new diet, we found that he was more playful and healthy. So in close collaboration with an accomplished Ph.D. animal nutritionist, we created a complete line of nourishing meals and treats that look, smell and taste as good as homemade food. Our beloved pooch Karu sadly passed away in 2018. He will always be missed. But we're comforted knowing his legacy lives on in the health and happiness of every pet who enjoys our stews and treats.
