What started out as a good idea accidentally became a great cracker. The Matzo Project began when Ashley Albert and Kevin Rodriguez — lifelong friends and summer camp co-conspirators — set out to give matzo the flavor and flair it always deserved. What they ended up with was a super-snappy, extra-sturdy, crazy-versatile snack that sparked a surprising amount of enthusiasm (and shelf space). After a few years (and more snackers than we ever expected), we knew it was time to kick things up a notch. So we added two more matzo-minds… err… industry experts… to the mix — Avi Markus and Crystal Bennett — turning our founding duo into a well-rounded foursome with big ideas and even bigger plans. From the matzo-obsessed to the matzo-curious, we’re serving up something so tasty, even your picky cousin Barry can’t complain. Our Brooklyn-made, Miami-grandma-inspired lineup — including Flats, Chips, Crumbs, Matzo Ball Mix, and Soup Kits (with more in the works) — continues to raise the unleavened bar with bold flavor, clean ingredients, and shelfie-worthy style. And now we've added 4 new gluten-free, Kosher for Passover mixes to the line up – Brownies, Golden Cake, Pancakes, and Matzo Ball Soup - so we can be on the table 52 weeks/year.
