OMOM was founded in 2014 from a simple desire to replace disposable plastic bags with something reusable — and joyful. It started with a few handmade fruit bags, sewn for my own grocery shopping. The feeling of bringing my own washable bag, using it again and again, was surprisingly powerful. Friends and family soon wanted their own, and OMOM was born. The name comes from the Swedish word “om”, meaning again. Reuse — again and again. Those original fruit bags have been sold every single day since. As the brand grew, I partnered with a small, family-run producer in India who shares my values. Our collaboration has lasted over ten years, and all fabrics and working conditions are organic. Today, OMOM offers a growing range of organic and sustainable everyday textiles — always designed from real-life needs. I believe sustainability should be practical, long-lasting, and colorful.
