Can I import products from my website during onboarding?


In this guide


Catalog Connect is the fastest way to get your shop set up and ready to sell on Faire. It scans your website and automatically imports your product listings including titles, descriptions, images, and prices.

Note: If you use Shopify, we recommend using our Shopify integration to import your products.


How do I add products from my website during onboarding?

  1. During onboarding, select “Import from your website.”
  2. Catalog Connect will scan your website and pull in your product listings, including titles, descriptions, images, and prices.
  3. Next, select how you would like to price products on Faire.
    1. If the products on your website are priced for retail: select “I use retail pricing on my website” and enter the percentage reduction of retail pricing that will be used for wholesale pricing.
    2. If the products on your website are priced for wholesale: select “I use wholesale pricing on my website” and enter the percentage increase of wholesale pricing that will be used for retail pricing.

Tip: You can update the prices of individual products on the next step.

  1. Review your imported products. In this step you can make any updates to product details or add details to fields that may not have been imported from your website.
    1. In this step, you can also deselect any products that you would not like listed on Faire. Brands with a complete catalog see a 20% boost in conversion.*

  1. Once these updates are made, publish your products.
    1. Please note, publishing will not make these products available for purchase until your Faire store is live.
  2. Save changes by clicking ‘save edits’ on the top right.

How do I turn off Catalog Connect?

Catalog Connect can be turned off at any time by navigating to your integrations tab in your admin portal, clicking into the Catalog Connect settings, and clicking ‘Turn Off’ at the top of the page. This will prevent any further products from importing from your website.


Who is eligible to use Catalog Connect?

Catalog Connect is currently available to select brands whose websites meet our quality standards and can be scanned without requiring a password. If you’re eligible, you’ll see the option to use Catalog Connect during onboarding.


How long does the initial import take?

The time required depends on the number of products on your website. Most imports complete within 5 minutes.


Which product details are imported?

Catalog Connect can import product titles, descriptions, images, variants, and prices from your website into your Faire shop.


If I make a change to product details on my website, will those changes appear in Faire?

No. Catalog Connect does not support ongoing updates from your website to Faire. If you change product details on your website after the import, you’ll need to manually update the product listing in Faire.


What happens if I change product information on Faire?

Catalog Connect is a one-way import from your website into Faire. Changes you make in Faire will not affect your website.


Why are some products missing after import?

If Catalog Connect cannot gather enough information from a product listing to meet Faire’s requirements, that product will not be imported. You can manually add any missing products directly in Faire.


Can I connect multiple websites?

No. At this time, Catalog Connect supports a 1:1 connection between your Faire shop and a single website. If you have another website with different products, we recommend creating an additional Faire shop for those products.
