To help your retailers sell your products, you can offer testers at an additional cost. Testers let your retailer's customers try out your products in-store before purchasing. Consumable products, as well as products that require a display unit, are wonderful candidates for testers.
How do testers work?
Testers are set up by the item. Retailers can add one tester per product to any order that meets your order minimum.
To enable testers for an item, open the product editor page and scroll to the Product settings section, then toggle the Let retailers buy testers to display in their shops setting to On.
Our default price for testers is half the wholesale price of the full-sized product, but you can manually enter a different value into the Price field if needed. Only one tester price can be set per listing—if your item has multiple options, and you’d like to offer testers for all variations, please list each variant as an individual product.
Testers are meant to be displayed in a retailer’s store, for their customers to try. They are not intended as samples for the retailer. As such, retailers must also purchase the full-size item, and can’t place orders for testers only.
Do I have to offer testers?
Testers are optional. You’re welcome to offer testers for any number of your items as needed.
