Promoted listings can help you boost your visibility in the marketplace and acquire new customers—no advertising experience necessary.
Eligible brands that opt into the Insider Partnership by June 30, 2024, will receive complimentary promoted listings credits to put towards advertising on Faire from July-October as a thank you for joining early.
If you are eligible for this offer for complimentary ad credits and opt into the Insider Partnership by June 30, you’ll receive an email on July 1 confirming the offer and providing next steps on how to use your credits. This offer is non-transferable. Read more about how promoted listings work and how to use your ad credits below.
Please note, promoted listings is in beta and only available for select brands to test at this time. Eligibility to participate in the promoted listings program is determined by various factors, including product category, order cancellation rate, and tenure on Faire.
How do promoted listings work?
Advertising on Faire with promoted listings is easy. All you have to do is set a monthly spending limit, and we'll automatically target retailers looking for products like yours in search results and category pages. We determine which products from your catalog to promote based on their relevance to a retailer’s search query or browsing history on Faire and how likely we believe a retailer is to place an order.
How does Faire automatically target retailers?
We want to ensure that any new customer relationship established on Faire is a good fit for your brand, so we consider many factors when targeting retailers on your behalf. We target:
- Verified retailers who’ve never placed an order from you on Faire.
- Retailers searching for products like yours. For example, a retailer searching for “Soy candles” won’t see promoted listings for “Polka dot dresses.”
- Retailers that we believe have a high likelihood of ordering from your brand.
How does the pay-per-click pricing model work?
We use a pay-per-click (PPC) pricing model and only charge you when retailers click on your promoted listings. We set a bid per click based on the predicted conversion rate, which means the average cost per click may vary. Your monthly invoice includes a breakdown of total clicks during each time period while promoted listings were active.

Insider Advertising Credits
Eligible brands will receive promoted listings credits to be used towards advertising on Faire if you opt into the Insider Partnership by June 30, 2024. These ad credits will be issued monthly from July-October and cover up to the credit amount in ad spend per month during that time.
How do I use my ad credits?
Using your ad credits is easy, it just depends on whether or not you’re already running a promoted listings campaign.
- If you have a promoted listings campaign running, you don’t need to do anything—your Insider ad credits will automatically apply to your campaign each month from July-October. We do recommend setting your spending limit during that time to at least the amount of the ad credits you receive with this offer, so you can maximize your opportunity to take advantage of the full credit.
- If you don’t have a promoted listings campaign running, all you need to do is start a campaign by setting a monthly spending limit before July 31.
Your spending limit is the maximum amount you want to spend on ads in a month and we’ll only spend up to that amount promoting your products.
-
If your spending limit is the same amount as or lower than your ad credits, you won’t be charged for anything.
- For example: If you receive $200 in ad credits and set your spending limit at $200, you will not be charged if we use all $200 or anything less.
-
If your spending limit is more than your credits, you’ll be charged the difference between the ad credits and your ad spend for that month.
- For example: If you receive $200 in ad credits and set your spending limit at $500, if we use all $500, you will be charged $300. If we use $400, you will be charged $200.
Ad spend is the total amount spent on promoted listings during a given time period. Total ad spend can vary month to month based on available advertising opportunities and any changes you make to your monthly spending limit.
Do my ad credits expire?
Any ad credits received as part of the Insider offer will expire if you don’t have a promoted listings campaign running or start one by July 31 at 11:59 pm PST.
If you start a promoted listings campaign by July 31, but we don’t spend the total value of your ad credits each month between July and October, any credits remaining from each of those months can apply to your ad spend through the end of 2024. The credits will expire on December 31, 2024, if they haven't been utilized.
If you pause or terminate your promoted listings campaign at any time, opt out of the Insider Partnership, or close your Faire account, you will lose any remaining credits that you received as part of the Insider offer. Promotional credits cannot be redeemed for cash or cash equivalent.
Do I have to continue advertising on Faire after I use my credits?
No, it is up to you to decide whether you’d like to continue advertising on Faire after your credits are used! We’ll send all brands using ad credits a reminder in October when the credit period is ending, so you can decide whether or not you’d like to continue advertising.
- For brands that weren’t running a promoted listings campaign before this offer, we want you to have the opportunity to try it risk-free, so once your credits expire, we’ll automatically pause your campaign, and you’ll have the chance to decide whether you’d like to continue advertising on Faire.
- For brands that were using promoted listings prior to receiving ad credits, including brands whose campaigns were paused, your campaign will resume with your most recent spending limit once the credits are used
