CACAO ORIGIN Our cacao comes from Semuliki Forest, a celebrated fine-cacao origin in the Bundibugyo region of western Uganda, nestled in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Semuliki Forest cacao is produced by Latitude Trade Co., which works directly with organic smallholder farmers through a network of local collection points. Fresh cacao is purchased from farmers before being carefully fermented, sun-dried and hand-selected at a central facility to ensure quality and consistency. By offering premium prices, agricultural training and access to financial support, Latitude Trade Co. creates greater economic opportunities for local farming communities while producing some of Uganda’s most distinctive fine-flavour cacao.
