Like all oils, it is not soluble in water but can be diluted without a worry in other vegetable oils. The fruits are first picked, then the nuts are extracted, and exposed to the sun to dry for 4 to 8 weeks. The nuts lose about 1/3 of their initial weight during this drying time and are filled gradually with oil.
