Handcrafted by Mr. Phet and Thone in the village of Ban Naphia, Laos. The aluminum comes from unexploded ordnance recovered in the Plain of Jars — material extracted through coordinated operations with UXOLAO and cast using the sand-casting sprue technique. The rounded profile is produced by direct work on the metal, without industrial molds. Ring with rounded cross-section, smooth finish. Available in various sizes. Sand-cast aluminum, with no plating or coatings. Water-resistant. Each piece shows imperfections typical of handmade work. We pay for the aluminum and the workmanship in Ban Naphia: the more that is sold, the more work there is in the village.
