Description
Bright and earthy, our Persephone candle is a blend of tart pomegranate and currant with earthy cedar and rosemary, befitting the Queen of the Underworld. Set in a fine copper vessel inspired by the Bronze Age, like all of our Greek Mythology candles, Persephone is hand-poured in America withal a coconut soy wax blend and a crackling wood wick. A daughter of Zeus and Demeter in Greek Mythology, Persephone was captured by Hades and brought to the underworld as his wife. He released her, but gave her some pomegranate seeds to eat, which cursed her to return to the underworld for half the year, signifying autumn and winter.

Shipment arrived in a timely manner. Candles smell delightful. However, the branding on them was not shown in the product photos and could have had a better placement. We ordered these specifically for an upcoming doctor who event and this candle in particular has a logo in an unfortunate spot, I suspect we'll have to explain to our customers why it says valiant on top of the Tardis.
