Wholesale Bottle, Persian Tea Folk Art with Lid, Vintage

From the depths of our warehouse come these fascinating old triangular ceramic bottles, made in Iran in the 1980s. We believe these were meant to hold tea leaves. These are clearly folk art and show naive skill by the craftsman: irregular triangular shape, non-symmetrical and almost childlike painting. The colors are muted making the bottle appear quite old. These are perfect for the brocante, antique or decor shop with a bent for very unusual, even rare, folk art. The bottoms are rough, they likely don't hold water, and some have cracks, nicks and dings that attest to their age, but what a fascinating and interesting item this is! No two are alike. We show here two typical ones. We have a handful of little stoppers for these as you can see, which enhances the appeal. The sizes vary a little, but most are about 7.5 inches tall. We have a few that are rectangular as well. We sell these assorted.
