Everything you thought you knew about chewy cookies is wrong. I gave up the chips ahoy chewies a long time ago because I couldn't read half the ingredients that kept them "fresh out of the oven" soft. I was skeptical when I heard about AL's but I love supporting local chefs so I thought why the heck not? This is everything you want in a chewy cookie. Full stop.
