These pens can be used to write and it will be invisible until you use the light on the end of the pen. Brighter colors can be seen with this Black Light Pen. If you purchased a painting from me, and your painting says, "can be used with black light", then I highly encourage you to get this pen. The outside colors of the pens do not determine the color of the ink. All ink is the same color.
