Our rattan furniture is intended for restaurant use. They are crafted to the same standards as those found in the streets of Paris, France, matching those makers' quality, workmanship, and materials. Each piece is handmade in Indonesia – the birthplace of the rattan bistro chair. We use Manau rattan, which is grown and harvested in the Indonesian rainforests. It is known for its durability, strength, and weather-resistant qualities. Indonesia is the largest rattan producer in the world. Although Paris made the Bistro table and chair famous, Indonesia made the chairs possible. Each piece of rattan is coated with PU-DOFF, a transparent solvent-based polyurethane resin that provides extra protection from UV rays.
