Although it was mathematically described for the first time by Waclaw Sierpinski in 1915, the pattern itself has been found Italian cathedral mosaics dating to the 13th century. These earrings come in your choice of silver colored polished steel on steel hooks, or gold colored polished steel on gold colored steel hooks. You may also choose the orientation which appeals most to your eye: point up (the traditional Sierpinski Triangle representation)...or point down (adding a touch of Modern Art Deco flair).
