Wholesale Japanese porcelain sake tray – blue raised-enamel decoration and arabesques

This Japanese porcelain sake tray brings together two traditions of Nippon decoration. The pearly white ground, framed by a brown-bronze rim, hosts four light-blue enameled relief motifs arranged in a rosette. Between them are blue and pink brush-painted dots and gray arabesques that run freely across the surface, light and precise. On the back, the rectangular stamp bearing the kanji 日本 (Nihon) identifies a Japanese export production from the 1950s–1970s. This type of marking accompanied pieces intended for Western markets, often more carefully finished than standard production. Diameter approximately 18–19 cm. Very good condition, with no cracks or chips. To place on a shelf, slip into a cabinet of curiosities, or use for a complete sake service.
