The Piece A warm, characterful handled bowl by Landert Keramik of Switzerland — the lug-handled soup-and-fondue form that defined mid-century Swiss stoneware. It's glazed in Landert's signature golden amber-brown, pooling honey-gold in the well over a swirl of tobacco and caramel, and banded around the outside with a hand-look border of dark-brown scrolls. The stub handle is dipped in glossy treacle-brown, and the underside carries the impressed Landert mark and its shape number. Heavy, glossy, and instantly nostalgic — the epitome of the cozy fondue era. History & Provenance Landert Keramik was a Swiss pottery celebrated in the 1960s and '70s for its warm, earthy stoneware — the fondue pots, bowls, and hand-decorated tableware that were fixtures of the era's convivial, alpine-inflected dining. Its golden-brown glazes and bold dark-brown swirl motifs are unmistakable, and marked Landert Switzerland pieces are sought after today by collectors of mid-century Swiss and Scandinavian-adjacent ceramics. This handled bowl — equally at home holding French onion soup, a bubbling fondue, or a hearty stew — is a genuine piece of that warm, gemütlich moment, stamped and dated by its maker.
