Wholesale Handmade Green Felt Bird Pillow with Tree Branch Applique

I am very excited to announce that this pillow was selected to be part of the decor for all of the rooms in the new Treehouse Hotel in London! It was very exciting to be part of this project, and am honored that this pillow was chosen. Now, I am hoping to take a trip and visit them! Perfect for that room or spot in your house that could use a little whimsy, with mama bird and her young ones. This pillow was great fun to create! I used many techniques in it's construction. The birds and leaves were selected from a cotton print and appliqued a top the felt. I used a dry felting technique to add the "shadow" to the tree branch, and added the "wood" texture to the branch with stitches. COLORS This pillow has a warm green front, with a darker brown back. The birds and leaves are a brighter green as well as aqua and yellow for the baby birds. The orange branch with the dark brown shadow and wood stitching balances it out nicely. MATERIALS AND SIZE The pillow is made from both wool felt and recycled felt. The pieces are hand cut and appliqued with machine stitching. The birds and leaves are from a cotton print and appliqued to the felt. It measures 12" x 20". The pillow is hand stuffed with a soft polyfill stuffing. There is a "Sheila Weil Studios" tag sewn into the side. A NOTE ABOUT WOOL/RAYON FELT AND CARE OF PILLOW The felt I use is a wool/rayon blend. The wool provides incredible warmth and texture, while the rayon helps keep it soft and pliable. It is a non woven material, and as with any wool (like your favorite wool sweater), the fabric can pill if rubbed repeatedly. Should this happen, use a fabric shaver or sweater comb to clean the pilling. If something spills on it, the pillow cover should be spot cleaned or dry cleaned only. The insert can be machine washed cold, and tumble dried low. No two pillows are ever exactly the same; each is an original. Each one is made to order, so please allow 1-2 weeks for the item to ship.
