Wholesale Golden Orchid Watercolour and Gilt Painting

The first painting to come up for sale by artist Fay Martin. This collector's piece, is an opulent painting emulating ancient Japanese screens and chinoiserie. A floral still life, hand drawn and finished by Fay with watercolour and hand applied 24 carat gold. This beautifully hand painted orchid is the perfect art work for someone who loves art that glows and emulates the 'byobu' screens of ancient Japan and the decadence of Chinoiserie. It is a luxurious painting which adds opulence and a talking point of any room of your home. The hand applied 24 carat gold transforms your walls with a glowing art work that changes in the light. Materials used: Stretched watercolour paper, watercolour paint, acrylic paint, ink and 24 carat gold leaf. To keep free of dust use a light brush to keep to gold aglow. The gold will not tarnish as it is 24 carat but be careful not to touch the surface too often. The gold is sourced from a supplier who has just been granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment by His Majesty The King, and as such are the suppliers of Gold Leaf to the Royal Household. You could opt to frame the art behind glass if you prefer, but Fay believes the painting is at its best without glass so that the sunlight can move across it and allow the gold to glow. The frame is included and will be sent including perspex protection.
