Piping Plover is a premium Giclée Art Print of an original, handcrafted art collage. The original mixed media collage was created by arranging and layering small pieces of Washi Tape onto a loose sketch, then adding an artistically rendered background. Best known for journaling, Washi Tape is a decorative tape that comes in many patterns, colors and levels of opacity. It originated from Washi Paper (a hand-processed Japanese paper) that was used for traditional arts like Origami. My collages are all professionally reproduced as Giclée Fine Art Prints, which are outsourced to print with each order. They are produced using pigment-based, archival inks on lightly textured, 100% cotton Cold Press paper. This ensures vibrancy, lasting quality and genuine authenticity. The square-format 8” x 8” print is thoughtfully sized with a one-inch border to fit a standard 8” x 8” frame without mat. Each print is hand signed and packaged with sturdy backing in an acid-free, protective closure. An insert in the back briefly describes the Washi Tape medium, which I like to call ‘Washi Art’.
