Created by Alexis Delalande in 1820, Domaine du Puy has seen five generations of winemakers succeed one another. Today, with 28 hectares of land, it is led by Patrick Delalande who works in the spirit of his ancestors, faithful to tradition. Chinon is a bit like the blood of the family. Grape variety: 100% Cabernet Franc. Location: Cravant-les-Coteaux (8km from Chinon). Soil: Plateau on clay-siliceous soil. Area: 16 Hectares. Vine age: 35 years old. The eye: fairly deep garnet red, with a bluish or green disc Nose: Extremely fragrant and deep, this complex bouquet combines aromas of cherry pie, fresh almond and fragrant blond tobacco. The palate: The tasters are seduced by the frankness of this vintage, generous in flavors of fresh red and black fruits. The finish delivers a pleasant sweetness and an appreciable persistence.
