This set is printed as an open edition, high resolution Indigo Digital Press print from an original series painted by Carla Starling Quigley and is personally signed by the artist. It is printed using a liquid ink on 100% type 1 acid free archival Neenah Classic Linen paper. The Story Behind the Art: One of my first jobs as an artist, was an apprentice to a talented sign painter. It was here that I first learned to be creative with letters and fonts. And as I look at much of my art today, I realize that I love to create paintings that reveal “hidden wisdom” when examined closely. A “nod” to my sign painting days, I enjoy finding a way to incorporate words into my paintings that don’t detract or overshadow the image. The words are only meant to be discovered upon closer inspection. So, in this series, I have used the negative space to express the words Hope, Faith, and Love.
