Description
The Buffalo Nickel, minted from 1913 to 1938, represents a true American past, James Earle Fraser designed the obverse of the coin combining three different Native American portrait sittings. Two of the men represent the Sioux and Cheyenne tribes while the third is not known. Fraser designed the profile of an indian because it was uniquely American, representing the spirit and strength of the country. The Buffalo Nickel Enamel Dog Tag Necklace represents that same spirit and strength. The nickel is encircled by an antique silver tone rope and a turquoise blue enamel bezel set in a silver tone antiqued style dog tag. The Buffalo Nickel Dog Tag hangs from a silver tone 24 inch Curb Style Chain with a lobster claw clasp. The necklace is composed of steel and rhodium. The dog tag measures 1.87 by 1.06 inches. Mint marks and years will vary. Comes in a white jewelry box. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
