WHOLESALE ERMES WHOLE GRAIN RICE (RED) 500 g

Born from the crossing of black venere rice with quality rice indica, Oltresole's red Ermes whole wheat rice is an Italian artisanal product. Like venere rice, it takes its characteristic color from the presence of antioxidants (anthocyanins) contained in the grain, which is elongated, crunchy and from the scent of freshly baked bread: the less intense color compared to venere rice is due to a different type of anthocyanins present and not to their lower concentration. This quality of rice, which requires a cooking time of about 40 minutes, is surprising for the palate when it is consumed after boiling it and seasoned with excellent olive oil or tomato sauce; the combination with a beautiful mixed salad should certainly be tried, even if the quality of Ermes red brown rice is particularly suitable for preparing excellent and tasty side dishes or for appetizing seafood risotto.
