This stone is known for the glowing orange UV reaction that was initially found in Michigan. Another name for Yooperlite ( Emberlite) is Firestone! Since Yooperlite is a Syenite, its an intrusive igneous rock with a course granular internal structure and a general composition similar to that of granite, but with less concentrations of quartz.
