Description

What a show-off! A deep purple-podded snap pea with bi-color pink and purple flowers. Ooh la la! These stunners are the first ever purple podded snap pea and the result of 15 years of breeding by Dr. Alan Kapuler. You won’t know whether you should paint them or eat them. Providing loads of twisty hyper-tendrils and swoon-worthy edible flowers, they will transform your plate into a work of art. Pick the pods early for the sweetest flavor. They remain purple even when cooked. They grow quite tall so provide them with a trellis. Direct sow in Spring and early Fall.

They're super cute on the shelves and it makes a lot of sense during the winter to have a windowsill garden!

We could not be more pleased with our order from Orange Pippins. The seeds arrived quickly and safely in the cutest packaging; and the ones we have planted in store sprouted perfectly and are thriving.
