9" Engraved Fox Vintage Scrimshaw Ox Bone Letter Opener Antique Reproduction • Natural, authentic and durable ox bone, not a synthetic or manufactured material so naturally occurring imperfections may be noticeable • Antique reproduction, hand-polished 9" scrimshaw; engraved fox on one side • Contoured index finger and thumb notches for better grip • Crescent cut-away tip for effectively sliding under sealed envelope flaps - Etched in USA Begun by sailors working on whaling ships out of New England, scrimshaw may be the only art form that originated in America. Our scrimshaw is created by engraving varying designs on ox bone or ox horn. Sealed with bone powder and epoxy, lacquer-coated and hand-polished. Perfect gift for the office or home.

Loveeee these items and they’ve already started selling. I wish the TAT was a little quicker but I do understand they’re not a giant corporation that can pump out orders. Definitely worth the few weeks wait, I will be ordering again soon as I need a restock!
