Wholesale Papercasts, Framed – Grape Harvest - Wine, Vineyard, Winery

Historic European molds are used to produce our line of beautifully rendered papercasts. The papercasts are pulled from our collection of heritage baking molds, originally carved hundreds of years ago. This piece is entitled "Caleb's Grape" - 8" x 10". The image depicts the Biblical pastime of the Israelites, who journeyed to the land of Canaan. Moses sent a few men to explore the land, and they returned with a cluster of ripe grapes, so large it had to be carried hanging from a staff – the promise of abundance. Our paperclay (recycled paper) is molded and the dry papercasts painted in pigmented beeswax, gilded in 18k gold or silver, and polished to a soft lustre. Each papercast is uniquely painted. Matted with archival board (no glass needed), we frame in a 1.5" beaded walnut synthetic wood frame. (Unframed matted pieces and special colour treatments are available by request.) Our surface treatment gives the piece a protective finish that is sunlight and dust resistant.
