These shields have a single piece of native wood that has been hand-carved, then hand-finished with beads, cowrie shells, and manilla string. The Tikar Tribe's former hunters and warriors' defensive shields served as inspiration for their design, but they are now made as ritual objects to represent status and prosperity. They are the ideal ornamental accent for any room. Each shield is unique as they are handmade.
