Pink, silky-plumed seed heads sway light and lacy in a low morning sun, beckoning to the day’s pollinators. Slender, tangled branches bend downward – storied in their means of withstanding high winds. Below; wildlife stir from cover, hidden amidst the shade and dense foliage. Deceptively delicate, this desert native, once dormant, now thrives in a vigorous thicket, rising anew from the ashes of wildfire.
