About Claire Emery Art
Claire Emery is an Artist, Naturalist and Educator based in the mountains of Missoula, Montana. Her notecards sell well in stores across the country. Spirited, bold, and colorful, her woodblock prints convey the vitality of life lived close to nature and outdoors as much as possible. The wild and working landscapes of western Montana have been her home and studio for 35 years. Her annual wall calendars and popular notecards feature her original woodblock prints. Claire's field sketches evolved into natural science illustrations for books and interpretive signs, which evolved into woodblock prints. Her field sketches today become the springboard for exquisitely carved, hand-colored woodblock prints which are the foundation for all of her products today. All of her products embody her environmental ethos: 100% recycled paper and powered by the sun. Claire's original woodblock prints are found in museums, university, and private collections worldwide. Her notecards and calendars are carried by cool and contemplative stores across the US. These cards are even more beautiful in person! You can tell the level of detail and care that goes into their production. I'm crossing my fingers that the cards and envelopes are able to stay together and undamaged (our customers are very rough on our cards) because I'd love to keep stocking these and try out many more designs.

We have carried Claire's cards for a few years now and they are a staple. People always comment on how beautiful they are and they are an easy sell. We keep them by the register on a small card stand. I also love how they are very unique to Montana - highlighting the animals, plants, and scenes that make Montana special. Highly recommend!
