The sunglasses are made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. The frame is made of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), a type of plastic found in beverage containers and textiles. At CASTOR, we recycle PET that comes from uncontrolled landfills to prevent them from reaching the sea. The PET sun model is characterized by being a light and water resistant sunglasses. The lenses we use for the PET model (made of polycarbonate) have UV 400 protection (cat. 3) and are polarized, that is, they reduce glare, optical stress and offer better contrast.
