Kahoy means wood in tagalog. Ralph Santos' godmother had a chain of optical stores in the Philippines and was inspired to create a line of eye wear to represent his Filipino and LA grown lifestyle.. We are a high-end travel-leisure eco-eyewear brand with a line of vintage-inspired sunglass and optical frames. Kahoy wants to bring a modern, earthy twist to a vintage and familiar frame that is lightweight, comfortable and stylish. We have a strong niche following of island, and beach enthusiasts and have been selling to select retailers, online and direct to consumers for 6 years at all the biggest craft shows, events and music festivals on the West Coast and even internationally. Our bamboo and wooden side temples are handmade, some parts are made in the USA and final assembly is in Los Angeles.
