Description
Inside Greeting: I hope your day is going well. This classic scene depicts Alice receiving advice (some of it confusing) from the Caterpillar, as illustrated by René Cloke in the 1940s for Alice in Wonderland. Many great artists have adapted Lewis Carroll's classic tale, but each rendition is unique and special in its own way. Rene Cloke (1904-1995), a self-taught British illustrator, is renowned for her timeless contributions to classic children's literature and greeting cards. You’d be hard-pressed to find a tale she didn’t illustrate! Additionally, during WWII, she utilized her skills to aid in producing maps for the Royal Air Force, showcasing her diverse talents. Her legacy extends from cherished children's books to significant wartime contributions, cementing her versatile and impactful artist status. This product was custom-designed and printed at our location in Seattle.

They are still here and so am I! Years after finding this brand in Atlanta during a summer show, it is a true pleasure to find them here. I love both the quality & the humor of the products. I grew up with Golden Books. Seeing these cards, oh my! And, I still have some of mine at 73 yrs "young"! This one reminded me of winning a teacher/student hula hoop contest before full audience in the gym. I won against a little teen cheerleader ... and made the front page of the local paper!
