Superwash Merino 4 ply is a super soft, easy-care, warm and versatile fingering weight yarn in a bright white colour that absorbs colour excellently. We deliberately use a fine 21-micron merino fibre in the yarn, so it has a soft handle and is not itchy or scratchy next to the skin. The yarn is spun with four individual plies of fibre twisted together, giving knitted garments structure and strength, while remaining soft and cosy. The merino has been specially treated and can be safely machine washed or dyed without shrinking or felting. Acid dyes used on this 100% animal fibre will produce rich, long-lasting hues that are very resistant to fading.
