Black Lab Ornament Handmade Black Labrador Retriever Christmas Tree Ornament Hand Appliquéd Felt and Faux Fur Design Made from my original pattern These ornaments bring festive, furry friends to the branches for your Christmas tree. They are also great as gift toppers and for year-round decorating. I enjoy positioning them in creative holiday vignettes to create playful winter scenes. 6.25 inches long from nose to end of tail. 4.25 inches tall from top of head to bottom of front paw. This ornament has appliquéd black felt head and face with black faux fur details. The black faux fur is in specific places that highlight the shape and texture of the dog for a realistic effect. Nose is black felt and eye is dark brown felt with black stitched pupil. Both are accented with gray hand-stitched details. The back and base material for this ornament is a heather gray wool-blend felt. I’ve placed a bit of polyester filling inside for a puffy look. Sewn-in hanging ribbon is gray satin.
